Our Qualified Team of Experts. Registers Manager and Managing Director. Mel started her career in the care industry as a care assistant in a local authority residential home. It was evident early in her career that this was the right career for her. Mel started by completing her Level 2 and Level 3 in Adult social care. Within her role, Mel has the unique opportunity of working closely with nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists on a rehabilitation unit, where promoting independence was key to the progression for the service users.
The experience and insight Mel gained from this work was invaluable, and she was able to use this experience to further her career. Mel progressed to a senior care worker then onto a social care coordinator, completing assessments and organising care and support for vulnerable adults in the community. Mel is passionate about making a difference and providing people with a quality of life. Whilst in the role of social care coordinator, Mel completed a psychology degree with the open university.
Mel has been able to apply the knowledge, skills and experience to creating Montpellier Care. Care and Support worker. Gemma has several years of experience working in the care industry, supporting people in their own homes and care home settings. Whilst working in the care industry Gemma has gained a level 3 diploma in Health and Social care and a level 5 in management and leadership.
Gemma has worked in a registered manager's role for a local home care provider. Gemma's previous roles have provided her with experience in supporting elderly people with complex health conditions. Gemma worked alongside health and social care professionals and has experience providing end of life care. At Montpellier Care, Gemma will split her role between registered manager and support worker. Administrator and Support worker. Ian is new to the care industry but had to learn fast when both his parents suddenly became ill in a short space of time.
Ian's personal experiences enabled him to see first-hand the challenges people experience as a carer and a cared-for person. He saw the physical and emotional stresses people encounter when they become suddenly unwell and when having to make life-changing decisions.
