So in reading my archived materials, I came across some ads for the massage parlors clustered around the Texas World Speedway. With the fact that all of them were way out of town and had names like "Lions Den", it all sounded extremely sketchy and at least one, if not all there might have been more might have been fronts for prostitution.
So what happened to them? I'm guessing they were eventually shut down by the state but when? Were they really prostitution fronts, or just something that happened to get the hammer by the state? I grew up outside of San Antonio and we'd drive in on I starting out about 20 miles outside, and on both sides of the highway would be a "massage parlor" every quarter mile until you got closer to city limits.
