A friend of mine bought one for his son. They were out shooting it, when they got back they noticed that the choke had all been shot out, and there was a large bulge in the end of the barrel. Said something wasn't right at the end, but it was getting dark so they didn't know what. That could have been lethal had the barrel gone, which is pretty damn bad. Gun got sent back to Edgars, they or someone, anyway put a new barrel on it which was poorly fitted.
Eventually swapped for a new gun which jammed all the time so has been refunded. So I wouldn't buy one. That said, I did a round of skeet with the rebarreled version and it seemed to work OK then. Clearly you can get a good one, but you are just as likely to get a bad one. I sold the beretta not because it was funny but i just couldn't get on with but i don't think all berettas are crap overpriced maybe but not crap.
If it just jammed all the time fair enough but that fault was dangerous! There was a thread recently on the hunting life about them, lots of people had them jam and some others have had the barrel issue, so tbh I think they are, as a rule, crap. Berettas are, as a rule, pretty good. There's your difference so please stop ranting on. I must be lucky Then, my chum and i have put over carts through ours and they have never never never ever jammed once.
